WARRANTY

Desktop / Portable Unit:
Your new Saeyang E-file machine is covered by a full 1-year warranty for manufacturing faults. This year provides coverage for parts and labour.
All repairs claiming warranty are subject to assessment by an independent trained engineer who has the final say as to whether it is covered or not.
Any damage caused from any liquid spills, falls, attempted repair, or abuse (damaged controls, switches, dials or ports etc) will immediately void the warranty.

Handpiece:
The handpiece is considered a “heavy use” component of the E-File set, enduring mechanical stresses and potential dust clogging internally.

Therefore, for our 12-month warranty to be valid on your handpiece, a mid-year warranty service must be done at six (6) months from date of purchase. This is a maintenance procedure and there is a service charge of $20.00 + return postage. If your handpiece happens to fail before 6 months due to a manufacturing fault, we will cover this in the warranty.

We advise that measures are taken to prevent dust and debris consistently getting into the units such as simply brushing down the handpiece and burs after use and using dust caps. We don’t advise that the unit be taken apart for cleaning unless attempted by someone competent to do so. Opening the handpiece or control unit could cause further issues and will likely void warranty for that repair. See best practice section below.

Repairs that are caused by user error, incorrect maintenance (such as water-based corrosion), disassembly or wear and tear of parts (i.e. handpiece cable) are not covered and may be subject to a base service cost.

Note: When an item is sent to us to be repaired, we are not obliged to provide a replacement/loan item to keep your business operating. It is up to you to make arrangements and we are not liable for loss of earnings during this period of time. We always suggest having a spare handpiece to avoid being without one unexpectedly.

Warranties are non-transferable and are only available to the customer named on the proof of purchase.

** BEST PRACTICE ** 

Base / Portable unit
i) Always switch the speed to zero (0) BEFORE changing handpiece direction
ii) When not in use, especially for long periods, turn off the base power preferably at the wall
iii) Never force plug jacks into ports. This could result in a short circuit or damage.

Handpiece
The most common reason for malfunction is dust and debris and we advise that you take the following measures to protect your handpiece:

1. i) Thoroughly clean and sterilize all your bits and tools after use.
   ii) Always use a dust cap on every bit / bur.
   iii) Have a habit / routine of brushing or wiping down the handpiece after every client session.
   iv) When not in use, rest the handpiece either on the handpiece stand or in the handpiece holder (if provided).
   v) Use the recommended bit rotation speed during removal of product – ERICA bits have recommended rotation speeds for their bits.
   vi) Never leave the handpiece unit without a bur inserted. Also, NEVER start the handpiece without a bur inserted.
   vii) After use, remove your Bit / Bur and insert the test bur that came with the handpiece.
